About Our Products

General information about what we offer

What exactly is beef tallow?

Beef tallow is rendered fat from cattle. We use only grass-fed, grass-finished American beef to create our whipped tallow. It's been used for thousands of years as a natural moisturizer and skin treatment—long before corporate skincare companies convinced everyone they needed lab-created chemicals.

Why would I put beef fat on my skin?

Because your skin recognizes it. Human skin sebum (the oil your skin naturally produces) has a remarkably similar composition to beef tallow. Your skin absorbs it easily and actually uses the nutrients. Unlike petroleum-based products or synthetic chemicals, tallow works with your skin's biology, not against it.

What's in Bullbee Whipped Tallow?

Grass-fed, grass-finished beef tallow. That's it. No synthetic fragrances, no parabens, no phthalates, no Chinese fillers, no chemicals you can't pronounce. Just pure, nutrient-dense tallow that we render and whip by hand in Texas.

Does it smell like beef?

No. High-quality, properly rendered tallow has a very subtle, natural scent—barely noticeable. It doesn't smell like meat, and it definitely doesn't smell like a flower garden. It just smells clean and natural.

What can I use it for?

Bullbee Whipped Tallow works for:

  • Daily face moisturizer
  • Body moisturizer
  • Razor burn and shaving irritation
  • Dry, cracked hands and feet
  • Eczema and psoriasis relief
  • Rosacea
  • Acne (yes, really)
  • Sunburn
  • Chafing
  • Minor cuts and scrapes
  • Dry elbows and knees
  • Basically anywhere your skin needs help
Will it make my skin greasy?

No. Despite being a fat, tallow absorbs quickly into your skin without leaving a greasy residue. It's non-comedogenic, meaning it won't clog your pores. Your skin recognizes the fatty acid profile and uses it efficiently.

Product Quality & Sourcing

We pride ourselves on these details!

Where does your tallow come from?

Our tallow comes exclusively from grass-fed, grass-finished American cattle. We source from ranchers we know and trust. No factory farms. No imported tallow. No mystery sources. American cattle, American ranchers, American quality.

What does "grass-fed, grass-finished" mean?

Grass-fed means the cattle ate grass. Grass-finished means they ate grass their entire lives—not grain-finished in a feedlot before slaughter. This matters because what the cattle eat directly affects the nutrient profile of the tallow. Grass-finished tallow has more omega-3s, vitamins, and anti-inflammatory properties.

Do you render the tallow yourself?

Yes. We render every batch ourselves in small batches here in Texas. We don't buy pre-rendered tallow from bulk suppliers. This gives us complete control over quality and ensures you're getting the purest product possible.

Is your tallow organic?

The cattle are grass-fed and grass-finished, which is as close to organic as it gets. However, we don't pay for the "organic" certification because that's a bureaucratic money grab. Our standards are higher than what most "organic" labels require anyway.

Usage & Application

How to use our products, it's easy!

How much should I use?

A little goes a long way. Start with a dime-sized amount for your face, slightly more for larger areas. You can always add more, but you probably won't need to.

How do I apply it?

Warm a small amount between your hands and apply to clean, slightly damp skin. The warmth helps it absorb even better. Use it morning and/or night, or whenever your skin needs it.

Can I use it on my face?

Absolutely. Despite being a fat, tallow is non-comedogenic and won't clog pores. Many customers use it as their only facial moisturizer.

Can I use it after shaving?

Yes. Tallow is excellent for razor burn and irritation. Apply a small amount after shaving to soothe and heal the skin.

Do I need to refrigerate it?

No. Keep it at room temperature away from direct heat and sunlight. Tallow is shelf-stable and will last for months without refrigeration.
